Sale Over, Bannockburn Dominick’s Stays Open

Trucks arrive Thursday night to restock store which will remain open until Jan. 25.

Bannockburn’s Dominick’s will apparently remain open until Jan. 25 rather than close Saturday when most of the company’s other Chicago area stores will shutter, according to comments made by store employees Sunday.

A sign at the store’s entrance informs customers the 50 percent off sale is over and merchandise will be sold at the full scanned price. On Tuesday, most shelves were empty but by Sunday they were restocked.

Employees learned Thursday the store would not close as planned Saturday but will continue to operate until Jan. 25. Trucks arrived Thursday night with groceries and other sundries to stock the shelves. There did not appear to be any alcoholic beverages available.
