The following press release was jointly sent by Congresswoman Tammy Duckworth and Congressman Brad Schneider

Reps. Duckworth and Schneider to Host Hiring Event

WASHINGTON--U.S. Congresswoman Tammy Duckworth (IL-8) and U.S. Congressman Brad Schneider (IL-10) will host a Hiring Event in Palatine on Thursday, Feb. 20.

The joint Hiring Event offers jobseekers the chance to meet face-to-face with potential employers from across the area, as well as learn helpful strategies and make valuable connections. More than 40 employers will participate and each has at least one position that they need to fill.

The Hiring Event will be open exclusively to Veterans from 9 to 10AM and will be open to the public from 10AM to 1:30PM.

Rep. Duckworth knows that jobs and the economy are two issues that are extremely important to the people of the 8th District. The Congresswoman has made access to jobs, especially those in manufacturing, one of her top priorities in Congress.

Rep. Schneider, a member of the House Small Business Committee, has focused on growing the economy and working to create opportunities for quality, well-paying jobs. This marks the second jobs fair he has hosted since taking office.

Blind man and the elephant, we are now approaching 11 million less people in the labor force since 2008, so for those people my guess is liberals would rather they stay home and we need to forget about them. Waiting for the WMD response, ....

Yeah, well unfortunately we are still cleaning up the mess of the last administration, but we're doing one heck of a job, Brownie!

Always and forever your lame excuse for the current failure. Allows one to be ignorant and feel fulfilled.

Let me know when that clean up starts.
