Spot Cadillac & Win Free Burgers for Year

Tom & Eddie's owner goes behind the wheel.

The last we heard from Tom & Eddie's is that the caddy was heading towards Crate and Barrel Wednesday afternoon.

No word yet on whether anyone spotted owner Eddie behind the wheel and won the grand prize of free hamburgers for a year.

The Tom & Eddie's cadillac has been roaming our area for the past week. But today owner Eddie is behind the wheel. Which means the first person to spot him and yell "Ampersand" wins free meals at the new Deerfield burger joint.

According to the restaurant chain hints about the caddy's location will be on its Facebook page. 

The last time Deerfield Patch checked the restaurant's Facebook post read, "Eddie is on the move again and heading toward Crate and Barrel. Use the password "Ampersand" and win burgers for a year!"

For months locals have been anticipating the debut of a gourmet burger joint in Deerfield Square.

is scheduled to open its doors to customers on June 15.

With the grand opening two weeks away, the Tom & Eddie’s Cadillac is on the move, which means freebies for you. 

The Cadillac will be making stops in Deerfield, Highwood, Highland Park, Vernon Hills, Lincolnshire and Northbrook. The driver will be passing out coupons for free burgers at the restaurant off Waukegan Road.

But sink your teeth into this part, if you’re the first person that spots one of the co-founders Tom Dentice or Ed Rensi behind the wheel and give them the password “Ampersand,” you’ll win the Silver Spatula Award which means free weekly burgers for an entire year.
