VIDEO: New Tattoo Shop Open for Business

Palatine board rejects Maximum Tattoo; owners move to North Shore location instead.

“It’s been a dream of mine forever,” Phil Cisco said on the day of his new store’s grand opening. “I’m not getting any younger so I’ve got to do it when I can.”

Phil and his wife Beth opened on Saturday.

The couple originally wanted to setup shop in Palatine. However, the village board rejected their business plan claiming it wasn’t the right fit for the community.

Instead, the Ciscos landed on Milwaukee Avenue, just outside of Deerfield in unincorporated Lake County and couldn’t be happier with the location.

“The people here are real friendly, there’s a lot of traffic,” Cisco commented. “Seemed like it could use a tattoo shop to brighten it up a little.”
