Whole Foods Market® Deerfield hosts chili cook-off for charity

Fire house cooking skills pit local fire departments in friendly rivalry

What:             Whole Foods Market Deerfield invites the community to take part in the store’s first chili cook-off challenge. Favorite fire house recipes are put to the test when the Deerfield Fire Department takes on the Highland Park Fire Department in this challenge to win.               

                        Customer votes will decide the winning team. Shoppers are encouraged to vote for their favorite chili based on taste and appearance, as well as team spirit.

Whole Foods Market will donate $500 to the Illinois Fire Safety Alliance (IFSA) in the name of the winning team and Whole Foods Market.   In addition, the winning fire department will receive a catered meal from Whole Foods Market and an entire year of bragging rights.

IFSA is a not-for-profit organization that serves to bring together persons or groups with a common interest in fire safety, burn prevention, and public education, and to promote programs related to fire safety and burn prevention.  For more information visit http://www.ifsa.org/

Tried toRead More keep much of old structure, but Igor's rehab and lack of upkeep, made it impossible. couldn't even keep floors, all warped from water and walls full of mold. City did nothing to stop Igor from combining two distinct properties. I am having a champagne lunch Wed. June 19, 11:30 to 1:30. Would love for you to come and see the house. Annette - my first statement was "beautiful house" so I have no qualms with your outcome -Read More however, this is a re-do, re-creation not the original house. But good luck! I am sure you will find a buyer quickly!
