Main Street Jobs Agenda

My Main Street Jobs Agenda includes ideas which promote job creation. Visit the website here: http://dold.house.gov/jobs-agenda

Over the past sixteen months I have been traveling the 10th District listening to families, job creators, educators, seniors, and more.  The common concern among everyone is that of jobs and the economy.  As a small business owner, I believe that the best ideas come when we work together and find common ground. That is why I have put together my Main Street Jobs Agenda which combines seven ideas that will help to spur the economy and get more people back to work.

Last week, I posted these ideas on my website as a way to communicate with you and highlight ways in which we can work together and bring about a positive change.  My Main Street Jobs Agenda includes the following ideas which promote job creation: pro-growth tax reform, increasing exports and manufacturing, access to capital for small businesses, making investments in infrastructure, developing domestic energy resources, STEM education, and implementing smarter regulations.  To read more, click here: http://dold.house.gov/jobs-agenda

These are ideas that I have heard at numerous employee town halls, from small business owners, from educators, from parents, from people in line at a job fair, and more.  They are bipartisan ideas that will help our small business owners on Main Street, empower local manufacturers, give our students an edge when they leave high school or college and our looking for work and help hardworking families find a little more room in their budgets.

But the work doesn’t end here;we must continue the conversation and work together to get more of these ideas signed into law.  We have had some successes, such as passing the payroll tax holiday for families, getting the trade agreements signed into law, and holding successful STEM events here in the 10th District.  I want to encourage you to go online, read more about my Main Street Job’s Agenda and then send me an email or call my office with your ideas.  We must continue to stay focused on the one thing we can all agree- getting America back to work.
