My daughter was very attached to me, so I wanted to find a school that would help her with the transition of being away from me. I found that DCNS was the perfect solution because they have a Time with Tots class that parents or caregivers can attend with their children before they are two. This is a great class to help children get used to the school and understand what they do at school. When it was time for my daughter to attend the two-year old class by herself, she adjusted very quickly and I was shocked when she went to school all by herself on the very first day with no tears. The teachers are very caring and compassionate with the children and they help them grow socially, emotionally and intellectually. DCNS has a wonderful teacher to child ratio, so your child will get the attention that he/she needs. Furthermore, the families are probably the best part of this school. The current families make new families feel very welcomed and are always available if you need help or advice. The parent-run school board organizes social events for parents/families to meet and they welcome anyone who wants to be involved with the school. My family is fortunate to have made so many new friends at the school and it makes me so happy that my daughter, who is very hesitant around new people and crowds, feels so comfortable at this school.
