Everyone is invited to submit photos for the Deerfield Park District’s Winter 2013 Photo Competition for fun, fame (local park district-wide fame) and a chance at a nice prize. The Contest Theme is, "Enjoying the Moment." The subject of the photos (taken in Deerfield, IL) may be scenery and/or the photographer and/or his/her own family members. Photographers should get permission to take a photo of subject(s).

The winner of the competition will be contacted by a private message and, with the photographer’s permission, have their photo posted on both the Deerfield Park District Facebook page (www.facebook.com/deerfieldparks) and Twitter page (twitter@deerfield_parks). Along with bragging rights, the winner will also receive four tickets to Deerfield Park District's Theater D presentation of Leading Ladies (March performance) and a $75 gift card to Rosebud restaurant in Deerfield.

The voting for the contest will be decided by the amount of “Likes” it receives on Facebook. After a photo is submitted and approved, it will be posted in an album on our Facebook page. Contestants are encouraged to share their photo with friends and get as many likes as they can. The competition ends on March 1, 2013. Deerfield Park District holds the right to use any photos submitted in our brochures and/or related publications.

Entering the Photo Competition is easy: take your photo, go to the Deerfield Park District’s Flickr group at http://www.flickr.com/groups/deerfieldparksphoto/ and join. Then, upload photo(s) to the group pool from your profile. For interested photographers who don't have access to Flickr, you may email your photo to: photos@deerfieldparks.org  and we will upload the photo(s) on your behalf –just be sure to include photographer’s name and a description of the photo. Each contestant is allowed to submit a maximum of three photos.
