School days Off

School Days Off trips (Full-Days) are offered to all students in Grades 1-8 and involve drop off and pick up from the Jewett Park Community Center.

Bowlers, young ceramic artists, mini-golfers and “Frogger,” “Sky Pirate” and other video game fans in Grades 1-8: sign up now for Deerfield Park District’s fun School Days Off (and Half-Day Off) events. Half-Day Happenings (Activity #253327 – Sect. 02), for Grades 1-5, offers games, crafts and other activities at Sachs Recreation Center, 455 Lake Cook Road, in Deerfield, from 11:40 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., on Friday, February 15.

For the following full-day off of school activities, Extended Care options are available to accommodate participation in supervised activities from as early as 8:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.

On Monday, February 18 (Presidents Day), from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., we offer a trip to Gameworks in Schaumburg (Activity #253328 – Sect. 01). Gameworks promises the latest and greatest in video games, virtual reality, “Sky Pirates,” “Hollywood Bowling,” “Indy Cars” and so much more. Trip includes two full hours of game play plus carnival credits. Participants should eat lunch prior to this trip

On Tuesday, February 19 –an Institute Day in Deerfield School District 109– a Bowling and Ceramics Festival (Activity #253329 – Sect. 01) takes place, between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. This event offers a great combination of sports and crafts, such as bowling, fun games and ceramics. Attendees should bring a lunch and drink

Register | Extended Care

On Monday, March 4 (Casmir Pulaski Day), from 10:00 – 4:00 p.m., Deerfield Park District travels to Hollywood Park, in Crestwood (Activity #253325 – Sect. 01), where children may enjoy 150 sport and redemptive games plus miniature golf and the fun, interactive game Frogger. Pizza and soda will be provided for lunch.

For families with children in Kindergarten, and including all children between the ages of 5 and 7 years of age, check out Kinder Days Off (Activity #221710 – section numbers vary), modeled after “Holiday Happenings” for those in Grades 1-8. Extended care options are available to stretch the fun from as early as 8:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
