Kali Filipino Martial Arts for ages 12 years through adults; High School Leagues for Boys Basketball and Flag Football; Teen and Adult Dance classes including Social, Ballroom and Latin styles; and for Youth and Teens: Kids Yoga and Youth Dodgeball are just some of the new fall classes and events through Deerfield Park District that start up early in September. Individual and Nutritional Counseling is available for ages 18 years and up at Sachs Recreation Center and an Adult-Tot Sports Stop class has been added. Golfers will enjoy the new bunkers, as well as events and outings at Deerfield Golf Club. And, for all individuals 50 years and up, in addition to the above options for adults, there are Day Trips and Extended Tours to new locations through Patty Turner Center.
For Early Childhood-age and Youth, a host of new classes have been added to our fall line-up. For children through the age of seven, depending on the class, new programs include: Tool Time and More; Fall Harvest Adventure; Start with Art; and Sports and Stories. For Early Childhood-age kids through older youth, Solo Sports; Draw, Doodle, Design; Playground Sports; and Pee Wee Hoopsters and Headers round out and enhance the unique, fresh and fun
autumn offerings. Special fall trips for School Days Out feature some new alternatives, such as Water Works Indoor Aquatic Park in Schaumburg, Joola Table Tennis Club, Museum of Science and Industry, and “The Johnny Appleseed Legend” at Apple Holler.
Deerfield Park District encourages everyone to sign up early, so you’re sure to get a spot –and so your favorite classes/sections are not cancelled at earlier deadlines necessary to assure appropriate staffing and space.
