Writing Contest: Share Your Bravest Moment

Submissions are still being accepted for the 2014 Rosemary Sazonoff Writing Contest, which is open to writers from first grade through adult.  Writers may submit any unpublished original story, essay or poem, no longer than 1,000 words, on the theme:  “What’s the bravest thing you’ve ever done?”

The contest, sponsored by the Deerfield Public Library, honors the memory of Sazonoff, a well-known local writer, community activist, and Library Trustee. The deadline for submissions is 6:00 p.m., February 28.

Writers in grades 1-8 should turn in a paper copy of their submission at the Library’s Youth Services Desk.  Teens and adults may e-mail their submission to reference@deerfieldlibrary.org, or drop off three copies of their submission at the Adult Services desk. All submissions must be accompanied by an application form which can be picked up at the Library or downloaded from the Library’s website.
