Deerfield Wrestlers improve record to 21-1 on season. Beat another ranked team.

Friday night the Warriors took on the GBN Spartans on Alumni-Hall of Fame Night and senior night.  The Warriors celebrated the event by dominating on all 3 levels.  The varsity team won 76-3.  The JV team won 78-5 and the freshmen won 60-21  All 3 levels are now 4-0 in the CSL North Division.

Saturday the Varsity wrestled at the Waubonsie Valley Mega duals.  This is always a grueling/long day of wrestling with 4 tough competitions in a row.

The Warriors opened up competition with a 78-4 win over Joliet Catholic.

The second round had the 12th ranked Deerfield Warriors up against the 15th ranked Yorkville squad.  The Warriors prevailed 39-29 even without the services of our starting 145.  The 3rd round Deerfield wrestled the always tough team from Lake Park.  The Warriors won 38-23.  The 4th and final round had the Deerfield Grapplers face Crystal Lake Central.  Deerfield won 48-21 to complete the sweep of the mega duals.  This was the second year the Warriors went 4-0 in this meet.

Please join us next Friday at Maine West HS and the Warriors compete for their 6th consecutive conference title.  Maine West is also 4-0 in conference.  This meet decides the CSL North division championship.
