Deerfield Wrestliing Wins 6th Consecutive Conference Championship! Lower levels Win Conference Also!

The 12 ranked Deerfield Warrior Wrestlers won on all levels to secure their 6th conference championship in a row.  Maine West was also undefeated in conference (CSL North) with a 4-0 record on varsity and JV.  The Deerfield freshmen beat Maine West 54-30.  The JV won 72-6.  The varsity scores are below.

  4. (126 lbs.) Brian Spinello of Deerfield beat J. Bowman of Maine West 15-4 (Major Decision).
  5. (132 lbs.) Andrew Mehrholz of Deerfield beat A. Afshar of Maine West 13-2 (Major Decision).
  6. (138 lbs.) Sage Heller of Deerfield beat C. O'mally of Maine West 21-5 (Technical Fall).
  7. (145 lbs.) Brady Glantz of Deerfield pinned K. Mendoza of Maine West in 3 minutes and 33 seconds.
  8. (160 lbs.) J. Riportella of Maine West beat Jake Williams of Deerfield 6-5 (Decision).
  9. (160 lbs.) Jack Powen of Deerfield pinned S. Russel of Maine West in 3 minutes.
  10. (170 lbs.) J. Vogeny of Maine West pinned Landon Hinds of Deerfield in 28 seconds.
  11. (182 lbs.) TJ Thompson of Deerfield pinned A. Qutub of Maine West in 2 minutes and 39 seconds.
  12. (195 lbs.) Chris Moran of Deerfield pinned E. Mora of Maine West in 2 minutes and 58 seconds.
  13. (220 lbs.) Colton Emmerich of Deerfield pinned B. Cutro of Maine West in 1 minute and 29 seconds.
  14. (285 lbs.) C. Velasco of Maine West beat David Vanderkloot of Deerfield 7-4 (Decision).
