In what turned out to be a grueling two days of wrestling at the Freshmen/Sophomore State Tournament in Springfield two Deerfield wrestlers were able to place in-state.
Both Nick Kupets and Kyle Clough lost tough 1-point matches in the semi-finals and had to wrestle back. Nick Kupets placed 5th in state and Kyle Clough placed 6th.
