Deerfield Youth Football Players Still Undefeated

Deerfield's Young Warrior 7th and 8th grade football team remains undefeated this season after a 23-20 victory over Buffalo Grove. Deerfield Coach Rick Gunther said Kenny Kerstein, Ari Nadler, and Johan Silverglade led the Warrior offense. A couple of injuries left the defense vulnerable but, the hard working players held off a late BG charge to secure their third victory this season.

Deerfield's 4th grade team is also undefeated at 3-0 after a victory over Glenview..

Deerfield's 5th/6th Flyweight team lost a tough match against Buffalo Grove 13-12. Alex Cohan gained over 100 yards with a TD. Jonah Frydman completed a crucial 4th and 15 pass to Adam Pottinger as well as scoring a 1 yard TD. Other notable plays and effort were made by Kevin Conzemios and Zach Lefkovitz. Coach Sassano says his team is really coming together despite the loss and looks forward to this week's matchup.

The Middleweight 5th/6th Graders suffered a tough loss to a speedy Glenview team and are 1-2 this season.
