Jr. Warrior Football Practices in Full Swing!

This week, local boys have started the annual ritual of getting ready for a season of youth football in Deerfield. The boys practice every weeknight until August 30th and, while we inject fun into the practices, they work hard! Coach Vince Sassano said, " this is a great group of kids we have this year at all levels. With our emphasis on teamwork, fundamentals and sportsmanship we will have a great season. The kids love playing our home games on the new turf at Deerfield High School, too". Coach Sassano is following up a successful 6-2 season with the fly weight division.

If your child is interested in playing youth football, it is not too late! The Young Warriors are a "no-cut" organization and all kids residing in the DHS district are welcome to play. Please contact us at 847-948-0927 or come out to the practices at Caruso Middle School from 5:30-7:30 pm to see what it's like and ask the coaches questions.

This year the program is again open to interested children who will be in the 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, or 8th grades in the fall of 2013.

The program is open to all children meeting the medical and registration  residency requirements. Although we will play teams from other communities, the emphasis of the league will be on instruction, fundamentals and teamwork.
