Youth Football Players Set To Start Exciting Season!

Football is in the air!

This Wednesday, 4th through 8th grade boys will begin practicing for the Deerfield Young Warriors' 21st season.

The young Warriors will compete at 5 different levels against teams from the surrounding communities in the Central Suburban League.

The Young Warriors coaching staff will be trained by the DHS Coaching staff in the most up-to-date practice methods that mirror what is done at our high school.

In addition to our regular season games, the players will have some exciting events to look forward to:

The Young Warriors will scrimmage against the mighty players from Holy Cross school at the annual DHS Red/Gray day on August 23rd. The kids will be able to mingle with the DHS varsity players and staff during a picnic after the games.

Our players will also be featured during a DHS Varsity game at Young Warrior Day on September 12th and everyone is looking forward to the first games at the Opening Day Jamboree on September 8th.

If your child is interested in playing youth football, it is not too late! The Young Warriors are a "no-cut" organization and all kids residing in the DHS district are welcome to play. Please contact us at 847-948-0927 or come out to the practices later this week at Caruso Middle School from 5-7 pm to see what it's like and ask the coaches questions.

This year the program is again open to interested children who will be in the 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, or 8th grades in the fall of 2013.

The program is open to all children meeting the medical and registration  residency requirements. Although we will play teams from other communities, the emphasis of the league will be on instruction, fundamentals and teamwork.
