Stay Updated: District 113 Long Range Facility Plan

District 113 creates informational website to keep community informed and involved in facility improvements.

District 113 is moving forward with its Long Range Facility Master Plan to improve Deerfield and Highland Park High Schools. We are committed to keeping community members informed about the progress of referendum projects and involved in the process. We have created a NEW informational wesbite and will be consistently posting updates and progress reports on it.

Here's what you need to know now:

  • The District 113 Board of Education finalized the debt structure of its $89 million referendum bond at Monday night's Board meeting. District 113 plans to issue $49 million in bonds in 2013 and the remainder in $10 million increments (Read more here).

  • District 113 architecture firm Perkins+Will has started drafting designs for referendum projects. Construction manager Gilbane will then publicly bid those projects out to contractors. Construction will begin this summer on new vestibules at both high schools to enhance building security.

 

  • All Steering Committee members were invited and agreed to serve on District 113's Oversight Committee. The Oversight Committee will work in conjunction with District 113's professional team and act as an advisory and review board during the implementation of referendum projects.
