Lightning Possibly to Blame for House Fire

Local family flees home when flames spark.

Officials say a Deerfield house fire may have been sparked by a lighting strike early Saturday morning, according to the Chicago Tribune.

The article states that flames broke out at a home in the 800 block of Smoke Tree Road around 2 a.m.

According to the Chicago Tribune, crews were able to quickly extinguish the flames but one firefighter was hospitalized after suffering from chest pains.
