Tread of a salesman
A Buffalo Grove resident reported that a solicitor walked on the home’s newly seal-coated driveway and then on the concrete stairs, leaving sealcoat material adhered to the concrete.

Hit and run

A kid under the age of 17 walked out of his Skokie home to put a grill on the curb when a man approached him, said, "give me your wallet" and punched the victim in the face. Despite the fact that he was bleeding and feeling dizzy, the kid chased after the robber while calling police.

Thieving your way to brunch and beauty

A Chicago woman was arrested after she allegedly stole bagel bites, Starbucks coffee, a bottle of Pepsi, Neutrogena hand lotion, Bic razors and nail polish from a drug store in Evanston.

Nicotine fit by proxy

An attendant at a Skokie gas station told police he felt threatened by a man in his 30s after the attendant refused to sell cigarettes to the man’s companion.

Maturity successfully averted

Northfield police officers clocked a vehicle traveling 110 mph on the Edens Expressway, and charged Keith Cozart, 17, also known as the rapper Chief Keef, with excessive speeding and unlawful number of passengers for a graduated driver. Cozart had three other people in the vehicle.

Po-po for poo-poo

A driver in Glenview reported a man walking his dog threw dog feces on the car, according to police. The man accused the driver of speeding, police say.
