Warriors Advance to Lacrosse Semifinals

Four goals by Ben Singer and three by Andrew Small paced the Deerfield High School boys’ lacrosse team to a 13-6 quarterfinal victory over York in the quarterfinals of the B Division State Tournament Tuesday in Deerfield.

Singer led all Warrior scoring with his four goals as he and Small outpointed the entire York team. Henri Beaudoin, Jack Purdy and Mike Puccio added a pair of scores each while goaltender Evan Kedjidjian had 15 saves to help secure the victory.

Deerfield moves into the semifinals Thursday against the winner of the completion of today’s contest between Warren and Naperville Central. The time and place of the game are dependent on the winner between the Blue Devils and Redhawks.
