Garage Mahal

Products that will help you organize your garage in no time!

The temperatures have reached record highs and your AC is working overtime. But Chicago summers are precious and you want to spend as much time outdoors as possible. When the sun is a little too strong, kids can keep themselves entertained in an open garage. It's a little cooler, there's shade, you can plug in a box fan, and you still feel like you're outside. Park your SUV on the street and let the kiddies ride their scooters in circles in the garage while you... drumroll, please... organize!

Bring out the pitcher of icey lemonade and pump your itunes while you take control of that garage! It totaly counts as your workout for the day (you'll be sweatin' up a storm) and you'll still be spending QT with your cutie. Here are some tools that will help you get and STAY organized:

The Ball Claw. Drill it into your wall and it holds individual soccer, basketball, volleyball, and footballs. Genius.

Rolling Storage Bins. Great for baseball bats, hockey sticks, beach balls, whatever!

Rack with an Adjustable Track. Mount tools of all shapes and sizes on your wall.

Bike Mount. Hang a single bike and helmet on the wall.

Sturdy Shelves. I actually have these in my kitchen for added storage. They work well in the garage because they're strong enough to hold your heaviest equipment.

P.S. The garage floor is a cool place for your wee ones to park their buns and color with chalk or participate in a craft. Make sure it is swept clean for them. You can take the time-saving approach and use a leaf blower to rid the floor of debris and unidentified dead insects in seconds.

Happy Organizing!
