"A Place At The Table" - Special Event and Movie Talk

There is a hunger crisis taking place all around us.  50 million Americans and 1 in 4 children don't know where their next meal is coming from.  The documentary movie, A Place at the Table, tells the powerful stories of three such Americans who maintain their dignity even as they struggle just to feed their families.  This movie will change forever the way you think about food and hunger in America.

Bring: Food for the Deerfield Food Pantry.  Don't Bring: Popcorn - we'll provide it for free!

After the screening: We will discuss who to write and what to say to make legislative changes in how tax dollars are spent in the food industry, changes that can help millions of hungry people.
