Deerfield Historic Village opens for the summer

Docents will offer tours of the oldest building in Lake County, the 177 year-old Caspar Ott log house, two pre-Civil War era houses, a carriage house and a one-room schoolhouse that has been a favorite with children for many years.  The Deerfield Area Historical Society, a donor-supported, nonprofit organization, maintains the Historic Village.  Admission s free.
