Hoopla 2012 will keep all your favorites from past years and will add fun, new activities to make this the best one ever!

Halloween Hoopla returns on Friday, October 26 and Saturday, October 27 with new activities and entertainers at Jewett Park / Community Center, 836 Jewett Park Drive, in Deerfield.

Deerfield Park District has added “Green Screen” photo ops and Costume Contests for visitors at Friday and Saturday nights’ Haunted House, 7-9:00 p.m. These new offerings are in addition to the always-popular bonfire, outdoor movie in the park, DJ and more. A fee applies only to Haunted House entry.

On Saturday, from 3-6:00 p.m., outdoor inflatable rides, hayride, indoor and outdoor games, “Lights-On” Haunted House, Balloon Twisters, Costumed Characters, Carnival Games, Art Room and Face Painters are joined by new magical talent in our Children’s Entertainment Room. New this year will be the presentation of a Participation Ribbon to each child coming to the day-time activity wearing a Halloween Costume. For the children’s afternoon activities, a wrist band is required to be purchased for each child participating. One fee option covers all 3-6 p.m. activities listed above, including the “Lights-On” Haunted House. A lower-priced option is offered as well which does not include daytime Haunted House entry.

Special treats and/or activities will be provided by our generous, community-“spirited” Event Title Sponsor Whole Foods Market of Deerfield. Other sponsors include Baxter International, Inc.; Il Forno Pizza & Pasta; Home Depot, Deerfield and others. Deerfield Park District also thanks the numerous individuals and organizations that volunteers, making the event possible and the costs affordable.

Food and beverages are available for purchase during all Halloween Hoopla hours. To volunteer, make a donation, be a sponsor or for more information, call 847-945-0650 or email info@deerfieldparks.org.
