Deerfield's Essence Pilates is hosting a community Open House event benefiting CASA of Cook County. We are asking people to donate new, unwrapped gifts for the children CASA helps.  We are also getting many people/ local families to 'adopt' a CASA family.  We have dozen's of needy families wish lists.

 Marilee Papale, The owner of Essence Pilates, is very active in the community donating her time, money, and her newest Deerfield retail space for school and charity events.  Marilee's staff are in full support for all of her en devours and look to make an impact where and when ever possible.

 CASA of Cook County ( http://www.casacookcounty.org/ ) is a child Advocacy program working to diminish the challenges faced by children in foster care by recruiting, training and supevising volunteers who in turn advocate for the best interest of the children in court.  They provide a continuity for the child, as court and system case workers have multple children to care for, CASA volunteers do not!

At the event:

   * We will have people from CASA to answer questions and hopefully recruit some volunteers.

    * We will have a station were you can choose 1 or more families in need, who have a 'Wish list' you can fulfill.

    * We will have drop-boxes for new, unwrapped gifts for youths ages newborn - 18.

    * We also have an on-going drop-box for warm coats. ( http://www.onewarmcoat.org/ )

    * Whole Foods is donating some of the food.

    * Essence Pilates is donating the venue, a huge spread of food and beverages.

    * Essence Pilates is also providing a special, live performance by country recording artist DARRYL MARKETTE.

 We will be continuing the collection until mid-December. So even if people are not able to attend, or did not know about the event in time to attend, they can still GIVE!
