Great Women of the Opera

"Great Women of the Opera" will be featured in a
presentation by Patrick Casali, professor emeritus at Oakton College. The
career of Rise Stevens inspired Casali to explore the role women have played in
the development of Grand Opera.  Casali has taught humanities and languages and has studied widely, including post
graduate work on opera in Italy. The Deerfield Area Branch of the American
Association of University Women sponsors this event, which is free and open to
the public.
