More:

For the
first time in Chicago, Continuum Theater will host The Jewish Play Writing
Contest organized by the Jewish Plays Project out of New York. This contest
encourages writers to give theatrical voice to the 21st century Jewish
experience.

More than
200 brand-new plays were submitted to the competition this year. Professional
actors at our event will read selections from three plays. THE AUDIENCE WILL
VOTE. A CHAMPION WILL BE CROWNED. The winning play will continue to compete
against winners from around the country for a workshop and staged reading.
Director David Winitsky, founder of the Jewish Plays Project, will lead the
evening.
