Ooh la la! $5 Crepes at Chez Kevin on November 2!

DEERFIELD, Ill. -- On Saturday, November 2, the French Club of Deerfield is hosting its inaugural Crepe Night at Kevin’s Place, 808 Waukegan Rd. in Deerfield, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Kevin’s Place will get a haute-couture makeover and a new name, Chez Kevin, just for the evening. 

“We wanted to build an organization to showcase French culture and language in our area,” said Ken Shore, who started the French Club of Deerfield and is helping to organize the event. “We thought that holding a family-friendly crepe night at Kevin’s Place as one of our first events would be a great way to introduce our organization to the community.”

Dessert crepes will be $5 each, in addition to tip and beverage. Diners can choose from Nutella, strawberry, blueberry, or raspberry. French ambiance and décor are guaranteed. The event is open to the public.

The French Club of Deerfield is a new community-wide organization dedicated to helping students and adults become more aware of and appreciate the French language and culture. The Club is organizing a series of events, including Crepe Night, to promote French culture and French-language learning in Deerfield. The Club is open to anyone -- community members and students alike -- with an interest in French language and culture. More events are being planned for 2014, including a French Cabaret Night. Club members also recently participated in Deerfield’s first French Market.
