Community Corner

Optimist Club of Deerfield NOW (New members welcome) Picnic August 6,2013

The members of the Optimist Club, the premier service club of Deerfield, are men and women representing a cross section of business, social and cultural life in the Deerfield area.

We initiate and participate in community projects that make our neighborhood a better place to live and to raise our families.  Our motto, “Friend of Youth”, describes the focus of Optimist Clubs. Some of our projects are: Easter Egg Hunt, Essay Contest, Youth Appreciation Night, Family Days, Camp One Step and many more!

We would like to invite all interested persons to join us at our picnic and find out how you can also "Be a Friend of Youth" in our community. We will have our members explain our projects to you. This is a family event, so bring your spouses and children. It starts at 6:00 pm and will be held at the shelter at Jewett Park.
