Robotics: Technology and Humanity (NSSC Class)

The issue of robotics has made waves recently through the use of our drone program. Yet the use of robotics has been far reaching beyond military application. We are now using modified robots in microsurgery and in agriculture. David Hacker discusses the history of robotics, some of its current applications, and the issue of artificial intelligence and how it has affected the nature of robotics. Ethical implications of robotics that are of some concern will also be discussed.
