Community Corner

Square Dance in Deerfield Open to All

Residents of Deerfield and its surrounding communities are
invited to kick up their heels and “swing their partners” at the First
Presbyterian Church of Deerfield, which is hosting a square dance and potluck
supper on Saturday, November 16.

Although there will be a professional caller, prior square
dancing experience is not required. The event is targeted to inexperienced
dancers who want to have some fun and learn simple steps in square dancing,
line dancing and the Texas Two-Step. Anyone age 10 years and up is welcome, including
non-church members.

Dinner will be catered by Urban BBQ, featuring pulled pork
and fixins’. Participants are asked to bring a salad or dessert to share. The
cost is $10 per person.

To sign up for the event or to get directions to the church
or other information, call the church office between 9:00 and 4:30,
847-945-0560.
