Party Dress Project Boutique

The 3rd annual Party Dress Project fundraiser will be held this year on Sunday, September 18th from 9:00-4:00 at Starland in Deerfield ( 710 Robert York Ave., behind the Whole Foods).  Beautiful, gently-used, preteen and teenage party dresses will be sold for only $25 each on a first-come, first serve basis with event proceeds being donated to A Safe Place. A Safe Place is an agency in Lake County that helps victims of domestic violence and conducts teen education programs about safe dating.

The Party Dress Project was started in 2009 by Stacy Simpson and Beth Hirshman and their teenage children. The hope is to see beautiful dresses being used again, to allow girls to add to their party wardrobes without spending a lot of money and to benefit local teenage girls. The Party Dress Project is a 501(c)3 organization.  Each year the Project has donated over $5,000 to the service agency that is selected to be the recipient by the Party Dress Project Junior Board of teenage girls. Previous recipients have been Youth Services of Glenview/Northbrook and Erika’s Lighthouse.

The Project collects gently worn, teenage party dresses from Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, Confirmations, Dance Classes, Graduations, Dances, etc.  To donate dresses please visit www.partydressproject.org for drop off locations or call 847-863-8608. The dresses should be clean and on a hanger and a tax donation receipt will be emailed to you.
