PFLAG or Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays is part of a National support, education and advocacy organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people, their families, friends and allies. PFLAG is a non-profit organization and not affiliated with any religious organization or political institutions.
The Deerfield Chapter is a well-established and growing group. Several members have been coming for over 10 years! We meet monthly at the beautiful B'Nai Jeoshua Beth Elohim.
PFLAG promotes the health and well-being of LGBTQ persons, their families, and friends through: support - to cope with an adverse society; education - to enlighten and ill-informed public; and advocacy - to end discrimination and secure equal civil rights. PFLAG provides an opportunity for dialogue about sexual orientation and gender indentity, and acts to create a society that is healthy and respectful of human diversity.
