Winter Celebration Thaws Frigid Weekend Weather
Mix of indoor and outdoor activities offer respite from single digit cold.
Frigid temperatures greeted Deerfield’s annual Winter Celebration Friday and Saturday but the mix of indoor events like a visit with Santa Claus provided a warm retreat from outdoor activities like horse drawn sleigh rides.
People had the opportunity to taste food served by Mayor Harriet Rosenthal and Village Trustees, enjoy a petting zoo, rode ponies and warm up again taking a look at the model railroad exhibit at the Deerfield Public Library.
