Frigid temperatures greeted Deerfield’s annual Winter Celebration Friday and Saturday but the mix of indoor events like a visit with Santa Claus provided a warm retreat from outdoor activities like horse drawn sleigh rides.
People had the opportunity to taste food served by Mayor Harriet Rosenthal and Village Trustees, enjoy a petting zoo, rode ponies and warm up again taking a look at the model railroad exhibit at the Deerfield Public Library.
