One interesting note is that the district is transferring $2 million from the educational fund to the capital projects fund.  The district indicates that it anticipates less state revenue for the capital fund.  This one-time transfer will “help maintain the momentum on renovation of the District’s facilities.”  The FDC has yet to announce its long term capital plan.

Another point of note is five teacher retirements and five resignations.  The DEA had mentioned there would be a large block of retirements over the next few years.  This may be the start of it.

A quick look at the P-card charges shows lots of business travel and lots of business lunches and/or dinners.  Maybe someday we’ll understand where everyone is going and why.
