Deerfield pooch gains high praise from Pet Life Radio exec

Learn what extraordinary things this dog does what most humans won't, and what caused a media executive to endorse him for American Humane Association Hero Dog Awards contest.

Deerfield dog, Max A Pooch©, Canine Crusader for Animals and Environment, is endorsed by Mark Winter, Pet Life Radio cofounder and executive producer. Winter endorsed the canine for his run for American Humane Association's 2013 Hero Dog Awards.™ contest.

"I am endorsing Max A Pooch because he does extraordinary things,"   Says Winter . "He inspires humans to save the lives of animals and to clean-up the environment. He inspired the program,  Max A Pooch's Awesome Animal Advocates which you can hear on Pet Life Radio. The show is unique in that each episode is dedicated to animal advocates, and is created for animal advocates, their supporters, and animal lovers."

Max A Pooch who was adopted from Orphans of the Storm Animal Shelter is entered in the Emerging Hero Dog  Category of the Hero Dog Award contest. According to the American Humane Association the category is "for ordinary dogs who do extraordinary things or are just heroes to us."

Voting begins May 7. "A vote for Max A Pooch is a vote for increasing awareness of the toll we humans take on animals and the environment," Says Keith Sanderson, long time Deerfield resident  who is Max A Pooch's human.

Sanderson urges all who love animals and the environment,  "To vote for Max A Poooch."

Sanderson explains why by saying, "Max A Pooch is a hero because each time he performs and shows people how to reduce America's WASTE line he not only is helping the environment, he is a living example of the incredible dogs waiting for homes at animal shelters and recue organizations across the nation. We are running in the contest because this is a great way for Max A Pooch to raise the consciousness of the work animal advocates are doing as well as the mess we are making of the environment."

It is because of this dual messaging that Max A Pooch  has earned the name "Canine Crusader for Animals and Environment."

Max A Pooch makes public appearances for animal and environmental groups raising awareness of the more than 5500 dogs a day that are euthanized in the United States and of the damage plastic and other litter is doing to the environment. As a rescue dog who was fortunate enough to escape the fate of millions of canines annually Max A Pooch is against seeing waste of any type whether it is the discarding of a plastic bottle or a puppy.  When Max A Pooch makes appearances he demonstrates the versatility of dogs by displaying:

• The sniffing ability of bomb and drug dogs when he finds hidden
empty plastic bottles.

• The helpfulness of companion dogs when he brings a leash, boots, a hat, to
Sanderson.

• The intelligence of canines when he demonstrates what items are recyclable by
placing them in a recycling bin.

Max A Pooch is one of the best known dogs on the Internet. Google the words Max A Pooch to see where and what this amazing pooch is doing.
