My family is my campaign team, and my campaign manager is a colleague I respect. That's independence. No strings attached! 

This has been a campaign of love of family, community pride and a desire to do good, and keep our families safe. 

It's a campaign focused on the future of what needs to be done, and bringing the professional experience, personal demeanor and support necessary to bring fairness, justice, leadership, independence... and Integrity to the Lake County State's Attorney's Office. 

We've run a grassroots campaign that has picked up great support and continues to bring the community together around issues related to fighting crime, ensuring justice, prosecuting fairly and accurately, and bringing fresh thinking and bold reforms to the State's Attorney's Office.  

To tackle the wrongful conviction issue, my independent case review panel has been heralded as a defining initiative, earning high praise and major endorsements. The plan, which has been vetted by the Chicago Tribune, Daily Herald, the legal community and law enforcement, is based on a successful program already in place, yet my opponent is saying it is not workable because he either doesn't fully understand it or he is simply playing politics. 

As I've stated from day one of my campaign, I am beholden to no person, group, party or special interests. I am a hardworking trial attorney dedicated to justice, with deep family roots in Lake County. I am proud to accept the support of such a diverse community of Republicans, Democrats and Independent voters--representing citizens, civic and community leaders and law enforcement professionals.
