I taught English in Thailand and recently returned to the U.S.

I don’t see much coverage of this in the American press, even though it seems as big as anything going on in Egypt.

Yesterday, 152 people in the Thai parliament had a mass resignation. 152 parliamentarians quit.

Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra has decided to dissolve parliament and hold new elections. She said she would remain in power until there is a new cabinet and then step down.

There are now 200,000 people that have been protesting in the street.

Six days ago, five people died in fights between pro- and anti-government protesters.
