Deerfield Obituary: Theodore Feifar, 92

He was a WWII veteran.

Theodore A. Feifar, 92, of Deerfield, passed away May 30, 2014.

Born September 5, 1921 in Hostie, Czechoslovakia (Slovakia), Mr. Feifar immigrated to the United States in 1929. He was a WWII Army Air Corps navigator who received the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Air Medal honor for his efforts and accomplishments during the war.

Mr. Feifar attended the University of Notre Dame and received his degree in architecture, then opened his architecture firm in 1970, retiring in 2003.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary, of 60 years and son, John (Dale). Loving father of Ted (Joan) and Tom (Kathy); dear grandfather of Jason (Blanka), Steve, Kate, Tony (Debbie) Reiser, Thomas Jr., Anne, and Brian; and dear great-grandfather of Gretchen and Nadia.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, June 3, 2014 from 4 to 9 p.m. at Kelley & Spalding Funeral Home, 1787 Deerfield Rd., Highland Park, IL 60035. A funeral mass will be held Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Holy Cross Church, 724 Elder Lane, Deerfield, IL 60015. Interment St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Cross Student Assistance Fund, 724 Elder Lane, Deerfield, IL 60015.
