Katherine L. Crystal (nee Gerstenberger), a labor arbitrator, lawyer and Deerfield resident died Saturday. She was 65.
Crystal was the beloved wife of Jules I. Crystal, the loving mother of Jason and Rebecca as well as the dear sister of Scott (Elizabeth Sweet) Gerstenberger.

A graduate of the University of Michigan, Crystal also graduated from the University of Michigan Law School.
A funeral service will be held at noon Wednesday at Chicago Jewish Funerals, 195 North Buffalo Grove Road in Buffalo Grove with interment at Shalom. Memorials in her memory may be made to any charity that benefits the welfare of animals.
