Constitutional Rights are being challenged by the Highland Park City Council.

When is it acceptable for the Mayor and City Council of Highland Park to violate the Constitutional Rights of the citizens that elected them? Is Highland Park... not part of the United States, is it somehow a place that can thumb its nose at the Law of the Constitution of the United States? Is it a place that has so many lawyers living in it,  that they somehow think that they can subvert the Constitution? I do not understand this "Assault Weapons Ban", that was Passed by Mayor Rotering and the City Council. I do understand the direction of the Lake Forest Mayor and City Council, whom let the opportunity to Pass an ASW go by and did not Pass any law in regards to it at all. I spoke to one of the Councilmen from Lake Forest and he informed me that he has two Sons serving in the U.S.M.C., he was stedfast in his position to not violate the very Rights of which his Sons were fighting for. I wonder if any of the members of the Highland Park City Council have any of their Sons fighting for our Rights? Deerfield had a thought of Passing an AWB, but they came to their senses, God Bless Deerfield, Lake Forest and othe Northshore communities that respect our Constitutional Rights and shame on the ones that have no respect for our Veterans sacrifices...like Highland Park, the Land of the oppressed and Home of the fearful.
