The sheer number of applications being processed by the ISP is a statement to the overwhelming popularity of Conceal Carry in Illinois. It will be fun to see who puts up those funny little signs and pass their customers off to their competitor, who respects the Constitutional Rights of CCW License holders. The ISP expects there to be over 400,000 CCW License holders by years end and over 2 million in two to three years...

BDB, Thank you, yes we are winning and we are stompimg our boots and yelling... Oh Ya Baby!
Bringin' Down Briarwood January 06, 2014 at 06:52 PM
And that's why nobody listens to you, Dan. It has long been clear that this is some scoreboard thing for you about winning. All your talk about patriotism is ABSOLUTE GARBAGE because you have no care for other thoughts, felllow citizens or an opposing view - it's just you and your little crusade. You obviously have no clue that "just win, baby" or the constitution that you so cheaply wave at any chance is not about a winning - it's about compromise and finding a middle ground for many different ideas. Just Sayin is right. You lost your soul a long time ago.
Dan Cox January 06, 2014 at 07:00 PM
Compromise is for a person or group that wants to give up something... I refuse to give up a Right, so that self serving progressive liberals can just keep taking more and more. We tried that in the 50's for you anti-gun advocates and we have been fighting to get our Rights back ever since. The mess that the CCW Law is, is because of compromise... The Highland Park AWB is because of compromise, enough of that non-sense.
Dan Cox January 06, 2014 at 07:02 PM
If my posts irritate the Anti-Gun advocates.., Thank God.
Walter White January 06, 2014 at 07:36 PM
It's all BS, BDB. If they want to carry guns, we'll just ban them from schools, stores, community centers, libraries, our homes, etc., etc., etc. And they have increased risk of being targeted by police and being shot by other angry gun owners. Much ado about nothing. Nothing they do will affect my life in the least.
Walter White January 06, 2014 at 07:38 PM
I thought that I needed to raise awareness of CCW bans, but then I saw that app that shows millions of bans all over the country. We will adapt and move on.
Dan Cox January 06, 2014 at 08:04 PM
America laughs at the anal attitude of the Chicago suburban types that fear guns more than the criminal gang members that are all around them...Skokie has three Armed Robberies in two days.
Bringin' Down Briarwood January 06, 2014 at 08:07 PM
I'll tell you what irritates me, Dan. A) That you call me an anti-gun advocate. I'm all for people owning a gun if they want. B) That you can't even get the most simple facts straight. Can you show me someplace where it's reported that 20,000 people have filed applications? Every report I see says 11,000 applications have been submitted. In both cases, you display no interest in the facts of a topic that you live and breath. And that's the most disturbing part about your ongoing campaign - the continuous abuse of facts as simple as this one for something you supposedly care about. I hope you can prove me wrong about your numbers because it's just another example of how you're willing to throw credibility out the window. Oh, and BTW, before you start spewing that people from all over the start are climbing all over their computer to get their license, you might want to consider that 6500 of the 11000 applicants are instructors.
Walter White January 06, 2014 at 08:15 PM
Wait are you actually implying that Dan isn't always accurate in his reporting? That's just not possible. He comes off as soooo credible. LOL.
Bringin' Down Briarwood January 06, 2014 at 08:18 PM
RE: Compromise ... Ahhhhh, spoken like a true BS tea-partier. You know them, Dan. You're obviously one of them. The ones who have no clue how to build a consensus or a political base, can't gather enough votes for any power and can't even come close to working within the system, then gripe, moan and stomp their feet like children when they don't get everything on their agenda, much less an item or two. Ahhhhh, but they love to pontificate about big ideas like "movement," "patriotism' and the "constitution" just as long as it fits their myopic ideas of how the world should confirm to their ideas. Sound familiar to anybody? You're one of those guys, Dan!! A non-compromiser!!! Bwaaaaaaa, haaaaaa, ha, ha!! Stick to your guns, Dan. I'm sure it will work for you out there in the middle of nowhere in Danland. I'm out!!
Dan Cox January 06, 2014 at 08:22 PM
anywhereccw, reported the 20,000 on their website... if you have an issue, call them about it!
Dan Cox January 06, 2014 at 08:23 PM
Progresive Liberals are such whimps.
Bringin' Down Briarwood January 07, 2014 at 12:06 AM
No, I'm calling YOU about it BIG MOUTH!! There's not a thing on the anywhereccw web site about registration numbers. Get your stuff straight FOR ONCE!! Take some responsibility for YOUR words - not anywhereccw's. No wonder you write all this on site after site and you have zero support (excuse me two people). You're an absolute waste of everybody's time!! You can't get something as simple as a news report straight. And I'm sure it was just a mistake, right? I have an idea about a few of the other "mistakes" you've posted in the name of the cause. "Call them about it." How convenient. Another sign of a tea-party guy. "It's not my fault." Should I also blame them for putting the number in the headline?
Dan Cox January 07, 2014 at 04:52 PM
BDB, You are sounding like person that is having a melt-down. Now, there is another person on H.P. Patch that has commented that I am correct. Greg Kenney, has stated that there are over 20,000 applicants, so please do not take it too hard... again, you lose!
Bringin' Down Briarwood January 07, 2014 at 06:25 PM
I could argue the 20,000 number to death. But just do me this favor, Dan. Try to show the slightest bit of honor and give me an exact URL of where you found those numbers.

Dan - still waiting for proof you are "winning".
Bringin' Down Briarwood January 08, 2014 at 12:15 AM
Honorable as always, Dan. That's your definition of an exact URL? No wonder you have problem with the simple facts. As I said, not a single sentence on that site even approaches a statistic about applications. Just a flat out lie ... as usual. I have a strong feeling that's not the only thing you've invented in your little campaign. My guess is you even sellout your personal history for your odd little crusade. In the meantime, tell one of your other personalities to spare me any additional psychological analysis. I always love it when you suddenly switch to "I'm above it" mode. You had no problem with your personal meltdown that lead to the laughable attempt to boycott HP. But now you're a professional, huh? Anybody who narcissistically posts in the triple digits on a weekly basis, habitually flat-out lies as much as you do and generally does it without much of a goal really shouldn't comment about another person's mental state.
Bringin' Down Briarwood January 08, 2014 at 04:26 PM
For my amusement, I thought I'd let the board (all two or three of you) know that Dan changed his number on another site. In his edit, he still screwed up the number of reported applications, but at least, he's in ballpark of not pulling things out of his azz anymore.
IHE January 08, 2014 at 10:27 PM
Not surprised.
Brian L. January 09, 2014 at 04:33 PM
Dan, the consummate Christian. Ridicule others, thank God you can irritate and offend people, claim this right as though God bestowed guns upon Adam during creation, ask others to help you try to ruin other business owners because they don't agree with you, etc etc. It amazes me beyond belief what many modern Christians (or otherwise "Godly" individuals) will do to justify the ignoring of love and Jesus' core teachings. Wouldn't it be just as easy to accept the decision of other businesses? You've lived this long without carrying your gun into a store, what changed now that you are terrified without it? Nothing is different except for the fact that you have something else to complain about now that you can conceal carry. Carry your gun, walk past stores that don't allow it if you feel it to scary to check it at the door, and allow people to make the opposite choices that you do.
Dan Cox January 09, 2014 at 07:49 PM
Brian L. If you are as smart as you seem... why do you not realize that it is the AWB that I am opposed to, not some silly little sign on a door. It is like my silly shop local...BOYCOTT HIGHLAND PARK Stickers that should be ready soon.
IHE January 09, 2014 at 08:39 PM
Well.....I will look forward to see them on all of the cars....all of yours that is.
Walter White January 09, 2014 at 08:41 PM
The only difference being those silly signs on the door keep you out legally and your silly stickers (if they actually exist) do absolutely nothing.
FaceOnMars January 11, 2014 at 06:08 PM
I STILL find it extremely interesting how a silly little sticker might be displayed by a private citizen - which is somehow empowered to suddenly flip a "switch" to make a set of conditions a legal criminal matter. I can't think of any other analogous situations off hand.
Walter White January 11, 2014 at 06:17 PM
Keep thinking. Maybe you'll understand it some day.
Just Sayin January 11, 2014 at 06:39 PM
Brian L...you are so right on! Could not agree more...
Dan Cox January 11, 2014 at 06:47 PM
Comcast employee shot and killed by Robber in Chicago... that is the reality we live in, when we are forced to be unarmed and defenseless.
Dan Cox January 12, 2014 at 07:06 AM
Boycott any Highland Park Business that is an Anti-Second Amendment Advocate...you will know by the "NO GUNS ALLOWED" sign on the door!
