57-Year-Old Arrested for Pot Possession After Traffic Stop

On Feb. 14, around 4:30 p.m., a Deerfield resident filed a police report regarding a recent identity theft, according to police. The victim was notified by T-Mobile of suspicious activity on his account, but the victim told officers that he had not opened an account with the company. T-Mobile told him that his Social Security Number was used to activate five phones by someone in Detroit who arranged a pick-up in Ohio, police say. The resident was billed $310.97 by T-Mobile, but the company said he did not have to pay the bill after he filed a claim with their fraud department. The victim declined further police assistance and only requested that the incident gets documented.

Marijuana Possession

On Feb. 14, around 6:30 p.m., an officer saw a vehicle traveling northbound on Waukegan Road with expired registration, according to police. The driver was pulled over and presented the officer with an expired insurance card, police say. The officer could also smell cannabis coming from the vehicle, according to the police report. The driver denied having marijuana in the car, but a search of her purse revealed a pipe and a container with marijuana, police say. Adrienne H. Johnson, 57, of Deerfield, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with expired registration and driving without insurance, according to police.
