Alert Neighbor Helps Nab Burglary Suspect

The suspect was then accused in a second attempted burglary that same day.

A Hazel Crest man was indicted last week on charges of residential burglary, burglary and possession of burglary tools after Deerfield police say they caught him in the act thanks to a call from an alert neighbor, according to an article in the Deerfield Review.

Glen Addison, 61, was arrested March 27 in the 400 block of Warwick Road, where a neighbor said they saw him break a window and climb inside a home, the article states. Police arrived and arrested him when he jumped out the back window. As he was being questioned, police got a report of another attempted burglary in the 300 block of Margate Terrace, and a witness identified Addison as the intruder.
