Authorities Identify Lake Forest Man Killed by Train

The 53-year-old pedestrian was struck by a Metra train Friday night.

The Lake Forest man who died when he was struck by a Metra train Friday night has been identified as Michael Donahue, the Lake County News-Sun reports.

Donahue, 53, was hit by a northbound train just south of the Old Elm Road crossing, according to a news release issued Saturday by the Highland Park Police Department. At that time, police said there was no indication of foul play.

The News-Sun reports that toxicology reports are pending.
