An attempt by lawyers for , 23, of Deerfield, to exclude information Baker gave police about the murder of a Vernon Hills woman nearly two years ago continued Wednesday in Lake County Criminal Court, according to a story in the Daily Herald.
Baker attorneys Edward Genson and Blaire Dalton claim in a motion filed to keep the evidence out of court police used Baker’s state of mind to extract a confession the defendant beat Marina Aksman of Vernon Hills to death with a baseball bat.
In Wednesday’s testimony, Genson and Dalton introduced a video recording of a police interview with Baker hours after he was stopped in Montana for speeding five days after he allegedly fled the area with Aksman’s daughter, Kristina.
