Bannockburn Police Arrest Woman for DUI

The following arrest information was supplied by the Bannockburn Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Amy Berry, 27, of Deerfield was arrested May 13 for driving under the influence of drugs, according to Bannockburn Police reports

Police received an anonymous tip a vehicle was swerving and almost hit another vehicle, according to the report. The complainant followed the driver, who turned out to be Berry, into a parking lot where police ultimately questioned her. She “appeared very distant and was not making facial expressions” as she talked. She failed a field sobriety test. 

After making a search of Berry’s vehicle, police discovered an empty prescription pill bottle in the car, according to the report. She admitted using the medicine for pain. She was released on bond and will appear in Lake County Court at 9 a.m. June 26 in Waukegan.
