Bannockburn Police Blotter: Arrests Made for DUI alcohol and drugs

The following arrest information was supplied by the Bannockburn Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

DUI (Drugs) 

Bradley Preston, 21, of Lake Forest was arrested June 21 for driving under the influence (drugs), unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and speeding, according to Bannockburn Police reports. 

Police spotted Preston driving a white SUV turning left from Half Day Road onto northbound Waukegan Road, according to the report. Police stopped Preston when they said he was clocked driving 57 mph in a 45 mph zone and weaving within the lane boundaries.

According to the report, the officer smelled “a strong odor of fresh and burnt cannabis." Preston failed field sobriety tests. He was released on his own recognizance and will appear in Lake County Criminal Court at 9 a.m. July 27 in Waukegan. 

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Brandon Marx, 21, of Lake Bluff was arrested June 21 for unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, according to Bannockburn Police reports. 

Marx was a passenger in the vehicle with Preston, according to the report. Police found a glass smoking pipe on the floor of the vehicle. He was released on his own recognizance and will appear in Lake County Criminal Court at 10:30 a.m. Aug. 7 in Park City. 

DUI (Alcohol) 

Tamien Lustig, 53, of Grayslake was arrested June 19 for driving under the influence and improper lane usage, according to Bannockburn Police reports. 

Lustig was driving southbound on Waukegan Road just past Half Day Road when police observed her swaying within her lane and “almost striking the curb,” according to the report. After stopping her, police said they smelled “a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from inside the vehicle.” 

After Lustig failed a field sobriety test, she was arrested, according to the report. She also refused to take a breath test. She was released on her own recognizance and will appear in Lake County Criminal Court at 9 a.m. July 25 in Waukegan.
