Bannockburn Police Blotter: Deerfield Man Arrested for DUI

The following arrest information was supplied by the Bannockburn Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Aaron Pelletier, 35, of Deerfield was arrested Friday for driving under the influence of alcohol and disobeying a stop sign, according to Bannockburn Police reports

Police observed Pelletier driving westbound on Half Day Road and turning southbound onto Telegraph Road and keeping less than a car length behind the vehicle in front of him, according to the report. After rolling through stop signs at Wilmot Road and Duffy Lane while straddling the on the solid yellow lines, police stopped Pelletier. 

After making the stop, police smelled a strong odor of alcohol coming from Pelletier, according to the report. He failed field sobriety tests and tested for a blood alcohol level of .137. He was released on his own recognizance and will appear in Lake County Court at 9 a.m. Jan 23 in Waukegan.
